Sex work is the oldest profession in the world. What’s done between two (or more) consenting adults is good, and making a profit is even better. Throughout the millennia, the sex trade has always been profitable. When kingdoms were at war, there was always the sex trade. When crops died due to disease and people were starving, there was always the sex trade. During the Renaissance, the Dark Ages, and the Industrial Revolution, there was always a sex trade.
Sex is good. In the words of George Michael, “Not everybody does it, but everybody should.”
At the end of the 19th century, there was a sexual revolution. The first movies were made. It was black and white, and there was no sound. But it was an amazing growth in human's ability for fulfillment. For almost a hundred years, there were people making countless amounts of money selling sex on the big screen. The actors who made these films were coveted for what they did. Some movie theaters specialized in showing these movies, and laser discs and VHS tapes were sold by the millions. People couldn’t get enough of it.
Then came the era of the internet. The industry exploded, and today, it is a multi-billion-dollar industry, and everyone can have a piece of the pie.
So, be it someone paying someone else to provide a sexual interaction or someone else watching it on their laptop. In the future, there will be even more options. The sex trade will always be a thing.
Just a little humor to start things off. The Great Michael Keaton in his Iconic Role in Night Shift.
